Adult Introduction To Sailing

Discover the Joy of Sailing!

March 29 – 30, 2025

9am-3pm

Our Intro to Sailing program is perfect for anyone 18 and older who’s curious about sailing but has little to no experience. Over the course of two fun-filled days, you’ll learn the fundamentals of sailing with the guidance of ASA-certified instructors. Through engaging chalk talks, hands-on boat rigging, and exciting on-the-water lessons, you’ll get a true taste of the sailing lifestyle and community.

This customized course is led by Paul Keever from the American Sailing Academy, an ASA Certified Training Facility. Each day kicks off with classroom-style learning, where you’ll cover the basics like points of sail, boat rigging, and the essential parts of a sailboat. Then, you’ll move to land-based rigging and skill drills, working directly with one of our boats to build confidence and knowledge. Finally, you’ll take to the water aboard a well-equipped 22′ or 25′ Catalina, where you’ll experience the thrill of sailing firsthand.

Ready to take your sailing skills even further? If you love the experience and want to build on what you’ve learned, we’ve partnered with Paul Keever and the American Sailing Academy at Key Lime Sailing Club to offer advanced sessions. These courses will help you refine your techniques, master larger vessels, and work toward earning an official ASA certification. To learn more or sign up, call 562-714-1500 today!

Set sail on your adventure — we can’t wait to welcome you aboard!
