Home School Program

Located at the Upper Keys Sailing Club in Key Largo, our youth home school sailing program enjoys direct beach access to the pristine Florida Bay waters of Buttonwood Sound. We offer a small community atmosphere, a myriad of marine focused activities exclusive to the Florida Keys and unforgettable fall sailing memories. Led by an experienced staff that prioritizes safety and nurtures a strong community, our activities promote independence, skills development and on-the-water decision making that build self-confidence.

Our fall home school program will consist of three weeks of team sailing, followed by five weeks of individual sailing and then two more weeks of team sailing. Sailors will be paired in boats for the first three weeks learning to sail in R/S Zest, Pico’s or Quest sailboats. This will give them a hands on learning experience with the equipment. The next five weeks will be sailed in Opti’s or similar boats as individuals. The students will be able to refine what they learned in the team boats and advance their knowledge of sailing. The final two weeks of the sailing program will be back in team boats to wrap up everything they have learned over the session.

1 pm to 4 pm 
Drop off begins at 12:45 pm Pick up no later than 15 minutes after scheduled hours

No Snacks provided

Cost:

$350 for the entire Session, no discounts or refunds for missed days. All sailing is weather permitting. If weather is poor then other activities will be scheduled.
